San Antonio, TX , April 22, 2025 — Gov2Biz Inc. today announced the launch of Lia (Local government Intelligent Agent), an AI-powered virtual assistant designed to support cities, municipalities and counties in managing citizen interactions and streamlining common service functions.

Lia Helps Cities and Counties Automate Citizen Services and Interactions

Lia is built to handle high-volume, frontline tasks such as responding to resident inquiries, managing service requests, supporting permitting processes, assisting with payment collection, and routing issues to the correct departments. It supports voice interactions over the phone, SMS/text messaging, and web-based interfaces.

Lia represents a practical application of AI for local governments—one that improves responsiveness while preserving control and accountability,” said Chandra Kandukuri, CTO of Gov2Biz Inc. “It will reduce operational burden on local government staff and deliver faster, more reliable, round the clock service to the public.

Lia is part of the Gov2Biz.AI initiative and comes pre-configured for typical local government workflows. Agencies can also extend Lia’s capabilities with custom modules aligned to their specific ordinances, workflows, and infrastructure. New features—including multilingual support, document intake, and case escalation logic—are scheduled for phased release over the coming months.

Gov2Biz is offering Lia as a managed service, with implementation, training, and compliance support included. It is available to city and county agencies as part of early access.
